Harvest Apartment

The new 310-square-metre home, which is occupied by a young family of five, is situated on the center of the city of Changsha. It originally had three bedrooms with refined decoration but has been stripped of interior upholstering afterwards. The owners of apartment had come to dislike its visually busy interiors and instead wanted a minimalist home where they wouldn't see the operations of domestic family life.

Walls throughout the home have been loosely rendered with light grey color and the gray timber cabinet runs the length of the wall. The moody-hue space, however, is enlivened with a variety of ornaments like the 637 armchair in red, those colorful art pieces and the upward-curving ceiling. And a majority of the floor has been covered with white marble tiles, which all optimise the amount of natural light.

The dining chairs upholstered in dark grey are positioned around black timber table in the dining area. A slab of pale marble tops the breakfast island with the tall stools allowing the inhabitants to have an alternative spot to sit and enjoy meals. Designer partially extended the master bedroom into the hallway to allow room for a walk-in-wardrobe with a small dresser.
