The two-story abode, leveraging the strengths of its original architecture, underwent subtle yet impactful enhancements to preserve its cohesive and harmonious essence. The entrance area was reimagined to ensure a seamless visual and spatial continuity（the entrance area, where the original outdoor porch had six steps up, and the indoor hall had five steps down, plus another five steps down to the living room, disrupting visual continuity）, while the southern expansion introduced functional spaces like a gym, staff quarters, utility rooms, and a discreet second-level storage area.

The villa’s spatial arrangement is both lucid and intentional: the ground floor serves as a vibrant communal area for family and guests, complete with dual living spaces, a tea room, versatile kitchens, and dining settings. The upper level, a bastion of privacy, encompasses the master bedroom, study, media room, and son’s quarters.

Strategic pruning of the outdoor foliage augmented the influx of natural light, brightening and opening up the interiors. Sunlight, tender and inviting, filters through diaphanous curtains, softly illuminating each stone surface, gracing each quiet afternoon. The interior design juxtaposes robust materials against flowing spatial contours, crafting a visually striking drama of contrasts.
