The 800-square-meter office with minimalist white interior is located northeast of central Changsha, which belongs to interior design studio 8C Design and its construction company INCH. The office interior was overhauled by 8C Design as celebration of "raw materiality and geometric simplicity". The raw, minimalistic aesthetic help to strip the space down so as to truly go inside of design.

The office accommodates a workplace for studio 8C ART SPACE and also a showroom for INCH. Going through a floor-to-ceiling automatic sliding door into showroom, there are some high-end imported small-size spotlights as a warm welcome. The spacious main hall has been left open so that the company can use it for large-scale meetings, or transform into a gallery-style space for events.

Spatial angles and lighting provide contrast to the stark white; and light, shade and line are used. Black timber has been used to make the long central work desk with a veiny white sintered stone supporting in the front of desk, there are some black timber blocks spliced together as base on the other side. The wall on the right side of the main hall has thus been made to feature a series of black shelves. Each shelf appears to be propped up by different material offcuts or objects.

A long light corridor as a connection between studio and showroom has the collection of raw-yet-curated material board in different texture hanging on the wall and black carbonized timber bench seat where staff can sit to take a quick rest.

The studio additionally chose to use various translucent materials to create an open-plan layout that allows for easy circulation and clear sightlines. Workplace for interior design studio is in off white as well while the pieces of Simon Muro Sofa in green and red are arranged in the public rest area, under a double-height space with large windows. The pendant Formakami lamps dangle over this lofty space featuring the high ceilings. The design office extends the mezzanine to create a tranquil working area.
